Most entries can be collected before the ending, but postgame is a sensible cleanup phase. Use the in-game category and entry number to find the system that owns each gap.

Reserve progression-critical Glass Rods first. The Greenhouse alone uses 150, equal to 750 Glass Fragments through the Furnace.

Furniture color variants can consume large amounts of Small Animal Bone, Pine Resin and seasonal Oak Leaves. Treat quantity estimates as strategy, not requirements.

Both are worth stockpiling early because collection crafts compete with Loom, Silkworm Box and other progression uses.

Register common crops, forageables, fish and materials while playing normally.

Build processing, cooking and crafting coverage, but reserve progression-critical materials.

Purchase rotating furniture and complete buildings, livestock and hunting unlocks.

Work on villager relationships, recipes, invitations and event rewards.

Return to seasonal sources when their season comes around again.

Check Midnight merchants, anomalies, rare fish, Nushi and certificates repeatedly.

Use postgame for late rewards, random sources and final category gaps.

Match every missing entry number to its owning guide before farming more materials.
Seasonal misses generally return with later seasons or years. Use the Missables guide for specific boundaries instead of treating all missed content as permanently lost.
Village in the Shade and Sunshine
The primary site snapshot is Village in the Shade at 2,428 entries. Sunshine mode has a smaller reported total of 2,286 because some Midnight and cursed-content entries are unavailable.
Do not combine the two mode totals or use the current total as a permanent post-update constant.
Furniture Ordering Catalog
This separate feature is announced for 2026-09-29. It is not live in the current snapshot, so current completion still depends on buying eligible furniture through rotating shop stock.

How many Collection Catalog entries are there?
The current Village in the Shade snapshot contains 2,428 entries. The total is versioned and should be re-audited after major updates.
What are the Catalog achievement milestones?
The milestones are 300 entries, 500 entries, 1,000 entries and full completion through Cataloger. There is no current 2,000-entry milestone.
Is the Furniture Catalog the same as the Collection Catalog?
No. Furniture Ordering Catalog is a separate announced feature dated 2026-09-29; it is not included in the current Collection Catalog total and is not live in this current-version guide.
Does Village in the Sunshine have the same total?
No. The current reported Sunshine snapshot is 2,286 entries because some Midnight and cursed-content entries are unavailable.
Can I finish after the ending?
Yes. Many entries are available during normal progression, while postgame is a practical time for late rewards, random sources and remaining category gaps.
Do Lost Books count toward the Catalog total?
Lost Books are tracked as a separate collection and achievement on this site. Do not add them to the Collection Catalog total without explicit game data.
What usually blocks the last entries?
Furniture variants, processed goods, relationship recipes, livestock-sale rewards, seasonal sources, rare fish and Midnight rewards are common late-stage areas to audit.
