Wild Birds & Bird Drops Guide
Wild Birds can leave collectible drops that include Seeds, Saplings and other items. These drops are separate acquisition sources, so getting an item from a bird does not automatically unlock that item in the General Store. Bird Bath provides another bird-related source, but its exact pool and frequency stay separate until the game data proves they are shared.

How Wild Bird Drops work
Collect the item, not a bird encounter
The current repository owns the item-source relationship, but it does not expose a confirmed control-level interaction or weighted drop table.

Approach, chase, scare and interact are not interchangeable claims. The page does not invent a control or promise that following a bird always creates a drop.

Pear Sapling
Pear has a Wild Bird source and a General Store route whose condition is shipping crops across two distinct seasons. Finding Pear early does not set the shop-unlocked flag.

Eggplant, Blueberry, Sesame and other source-backed Seeds can appear through the alternate route even when their normal shop timing is later. This is early possession, not a shop condition bypass.

Early possession can be helpful, but it does not rewrite shop progression.
Eggplant Seed
Wild Bird source plus a normal Year 2 shop condition. The Seed can be obtained early where the Bird Drop source applies.
Blueberry Seed
Wild Bird source plus a shop condition tied to shipping crops across two distinct seasons. Bird ownership does not complete the shipment requirement.
Pear Sapling
A Bird-dropped Sapling can give earlier planting access while the General Store remains locked behind its own progression.
Do not call any item “rare” or recommend Bird Drop farming as a money method without a canonical weight or repeated testing record. Use Money Making only for broader economy planning.

Bird Bath owns its unlock and facility mechanics. This page owns the Wild Bird item-source comparison.
What is confirmed?
Completing the Hunting Chief Delivery category unlocks the Bird Bath facility, which attracts birds and can provide plant-seed drops. A Dahlia Seed record is retained as a source-reported Bird Bath example.

Wild Bird and Bird Drop questions
How do Wild Bird Drops work?
The current source model confirms collectible items dropped by Wild Birds, but the exact approach, chase, scare or interact trigger is not isolated. Do not treat a button press or a bird spawn as a collected drop.
What can birds drop?
The repository-derived pool includes Seeds, a Pear Sapling, forage/other items and four Magatama records. The table below is the current supported source relation, not a probability table.
Can birds give Year 2 Seeds early?
Yes, where the item has an independent Wild Bird source. That gives alternate item access; it does not bypass or complete the General Store condition.
Does getting a Seed from a bird unlock it in the shop?
No. Ownership and shop-pool unlock are separate states unless a canonical game event explicitly connects them.
Can birds drop Pear Sapling?
Pear Sapling has both a Wild Bird source and a General Store source. The shop still keeps its two-season shipping condition.
Does Bird Bath use the same drop pool?
Unknown. The repository keeps ordinary Wild Bird and Bird Bath records separate; one source-reported Dahlia example does not prove pool equality.
How often does Bird Bath produce drops?
Unknown. No fixed morning, daily interval, quantity or rate is canonical.
How many Bird Baths can I place?
Unknown. The shared building record currently has no confirmed maximum.
Does having three Bird Baths triple drops?
No such multiplier is established. A maximum count, if later confirmed, would not imply guaranteed drops per facility.
What is the 20 Bird Drop milestone?
No direct current in-game source is recorded for a 20-item Award or mail milestone. Do not use the older 500-amount report as canonical; the current supported Birdwatcher platform threshold is 100 collected Wild Bird Drops.
What is the 100 Bird Drop Achievement?
Steam's Birdwatcher condition is 100 items dropped by Wild Birds collected in Village in the Shade mode.
Do Bird Bath drops count toward the 20 or 100?
Unknown. The counter contribution is not promoted until a canonical pickup event or shared counter record proves it.
Are Wild Birds available in Village in the Sunshine?
Unknown. Shade platform wording does not automatically establish Sunshine support for either the bird mechanic or the milestones.
