Clinic & Fainting Guide
When HP reaches zero, the outcome depends on the activity and script. This guide separates voluntary Clinic visits, daytime wildlife defeats, Midnight losses, Quarry defeats, story Clinic scenes and the 06:00 return boundary. It keeps the official ER Regular target visible without inventing a universal penalty.

Quick answer
The Clinic counter is narrower than the word “visit”
The authoritative milestone wording is a Clinic wake-up / forced-treatment state. A normal voluntary visit is not a substitute.
Official baseline
ER Regular
“Woke up in the clinic 10 times in Village in the Shade Mode.” The target is 10, and the current crosswalk uses clinic-transports.
Do not merge
Visit ≠ wake-up
Walking into Kusunoki Clinic voluntarily is not currently modeled as a forced transport and does not count toward the achievement.
Safety boundary
No universal penalty
Money, items, recovery values, time loss and save behavior remain context-specific unknowns unless a direct source establishes them.
Do not collapse these states
What happens in each defeat context?
The matrix is intentionally explicit about Unknown. A destination or anecdote in one context does not rewrite another system's rules.
Voluntary Clinic visit
Repository boundary- Clinic transport

A normal visit is a player-initiated facility interaction, not a knockout or forced treatment event.
Daytime wildlife defeat — deer
Player-tested report- Clinic transport
- Yes
- Counts wake-up
- Unknown
- Day advances
- Unknown
- Money/items
- Unknown
Direct player reports describe the first Clinic transport after a deer attack; the counter and penalties are not independently verified.
Daytime wildlife defeat — boar
Player-tested report- Clinic transport
- Yes
- Counts wake-up
- Unknown
- Day advances
- Unknown
- Money/items
- Unknown
A player diary reports being taken to the Clinic after a boar feint; the report does not establish a universal penalty or achievement count.
Daytime wildlife defeat — bear
No direct record- Clinic transport
- Unknown
- Counts wake-up
- Unknown
- Day advances
- Unknown

- Unknown
Do not extrapolate the deer or boar reports to bear without a direct defeat record.
Ordinary Midnight HP defeat
Secondary report- Clinic transport
- Unknown
- Counts wake-up
- Unknown
- Day advances

- Unknown
Player guides disagree or describe a return home at the next morning boundary; no reliable source maps every ordinary Midnight defeat to Clinic transport.
Named Midnight anomaly defeat
No direct record- Clinic transport
- Unknown
- Counts wake-up

Released walkthroughs show scripted Clinic wake-ups after story progression. They must not be counted as forced treatment without a counter-confirming record.
Quarry / mining-area defeat

Reaching the documented 06:00 Midnight return boundary is not itself a Clinic wake-up.
Daytime combat
Wild Animal Knockouts
This is where the strongest current Clinic-transport reports sit. Hunting owns licenses, bow/trap rules and animal drops; this page only records the defeat-state handoff.
Deer
Clinic transport: Yes, reported. A direct player report identifies deer as the first Clinic transport, and a development interview describes the risk of provoking large animals. The achievement count and penalty are still unknown.
Hunting rulesBoar
Clinic transport: Yes, reported. A player diary records being taken to the Clinic after a boar feint and later another knockout. That supports the transport result, not a guaranteed ten-wakeup grind.
Wild animal recordsBear and other animals
Unknown. Do not extend deer/boar evidence to bear, rare variants, trapped animals or a named creature. The hunting authority remains responsible for combat and licensing.
Midnight reconciliation
Midnight home vs Clinic is unresolved by context
Ordinary Midnight defeat, named anomaly defeat and story-scripted Clinic scenes are different records.
Ordinary Midnight HP defeat
Secondary reports describe home-return or next-morning behavior in some nighttime loss cases, but no source here proves that every ordinary Midnight HP defeat bypasses Kusunoki Clinic—or that any such return counts.
Midnight explorationNamed anomaly
A named anomaly can have its own encounter script and item/penalty handling. Keep that evidence on Night Anomalies; it is not a generic Clinic rule.
06:00 return
The time cutoff is a return-home boundary, not a forced Clinic wake-up. The Time & Sleep guide owns the clock transition.

Scripted Clinic scenes
These are walkthrough handoffs, not a farming method. The current achievement record does not identify scripted scenes as counter increments.

The safest current guidance is procedural: if HP is low, leave wildlife areas, stop treating a risky defeat as a guaranteed achievement route, and review the Save System guide before testing an uncertain edge case. Clinic save behavior and checkpoint ordering remain unknown.
Review Save System history guidanceFacility identity
Kusunoki Clinic / くすのき診療所
This page identifies the facility without pretending its complete schedule or billing rules are known.
Location
The Clinic is a canonical Village facility with location ID clinic. See Map, Areas & Key Locations for navigation.
Facility record: Treatment and story facility; exact schedule is unresolved.
Hasumi
Hasumi is the physician-associated character in the shared roster and resides at the Clinic. The page does not infer her full schedule or every interaction.
Character databaseShiroji boundary
Shiroji is recorded as a village resident, not as the Clinic owner or physician. His normal location belongs to Villager Schedules.
Achievement planning
ER Regular strategy
A cautious plan is more useful than a fabricated farming route.
Safe repeatable trigger
None verified. Deer and boar transport reports are enough to flag the interaction, not enough to establish counter increment, fee, recovery state, item safety or reset behavior.
Recommended grind
Do not deliberately faint. Progress normally, record the exact context if a forced Clinic wake occurs, and verify the in-game achievement tracker before repeating a risk.
Mode
The ER Regular baseline is explicitly Shade-only. Clinic wake-up parity and achievement availability are unresolved.
This guide is a live Ver.1.09 authority. The official release schedule lists additional content for 2026-09-29 and Western release timing for 2026-10-27; recheck Clinic behavior after those updates.

FAQ
Clinic and fainting questions
Visible answers and FAQ schema use the same shared list.
What is ER Regular?
ER Regular requires waking up in the Clinic 10 times in Village in the Shade Mode. The shared counter is clinic-transports; ordinary voluntary Clinic visits are not substituted.
Does a normal Clinic visit count?
No. A voluntary visit is a player-initiated facility interaction, not a forced treatment wake-up.
What happens when HP reaches 0?
There is no single verified HP=0 rule for every context. Daytime deer and boar reports point to Clinic transport, while Midnight, Quarry and story contexts remain separate.
Does zero Stamina make you faint?
No automatic faint is currently recorded at 0 Stamina. It is an action-availability boundary; exact walking behavior remains unresolved.
Do deer and boar send you to the Clinic?
Current player-tested reports support Clinic transport for deer and boar defeats in Shade, but the achievement count and penalties are not independently verified.
Does a bear defeat count?
Unknown. Do not infer bear behavior from deer or boar reports.
Does an ordinary Midnight defeat send you to the Clinic?
Unknown. Secondary guides report home-return behavior in some nighttime loss situations, but that does not prove a universal Clinic rule.
Does the 06:00 Midnight return count?
No. The documented 06:00 return boundary is not itself a Clinic wake-up.
Do story Clinic scenes count toward ER Regular?
Unknown. Released walkthroughs show scripted Clinic wake-ups, but the current achievement and milestone records do not say that scripted scenes increment clinic-transports.
Who runs Kusunoki Clinic?
The working name is Kusunoki Clinic (くすのき診療所). Hasumi is the physician associated with the Clinic in the shared character record.
What are the Clinic hours and treatment fee?
Unknown in the current canonical repository. No complete timetable, fee, or voluntary-healing formula is published here.
Are money or items lost after fainting?
No universal penalty is verified. Keep money loss, item loss, protected items, HP after wake, Stamina after wake, and time/day loss as context-dependent unknowns until directly confirmed.
Is there a safe ER Regular farming method?
No safe repeatable trigger is verified. Do not deliberately farm wildlife defeats until the counter, cost and recovery state are confirmed in the target mode.
Does Sunshine mode have the same Clinic and achievement rules?
Unresolved. ER Regular's official baseline explicitly names Shade Mode; Sunshine parity is not assumed.
