How to unlock the Large Bag
Use the listing when it appears in progression-based Sazanka stock; do not use an unverified Day 1 or shop-opening rule.

Unlock
Progression stock; exact trigger unknown
The Large Bag is a direct quality-of-life purchase for players whose fishing, mining, gathering or exploration trips repeatedly run out of carry space. It is not established as a story requirement or a universal first-spend priority.
Purchase behavior still needs evidence
- Purchase prerequisite: Unknown / not independently verified.
- Automatic application versus use/equip workflow: Unknown / not independently verified.
- Repeat purchase, resale and refund behavior: Unknown / not independently verified.
- Next-day refresh or rotation timing: Unknown / not independently verified.
Later upgrade
How to unlock the Very Large Bag
Treat it as later progression stock at the same vendor. A fixed date or immediate post-purchase appearance is not canonical yet.

A player-reported Summer 15 purchase is a useful lead, not proof of a universal unlock day. The current data does not isolate whether Large Bag ownership, a story step, a year condition, a mail event or a refresh delay is involved.
Check three separate states
Purchase prerequisite: Unknown / not independently verified.
Progression gate: later bag progression is recorded, but the exact condition is unknown / not independently verified.
Refresh timing: whether a next-day visit or shop refresh is needed is unknown / not independently verified.
Troubleshooting
What happens when your inventory is full?
No common cross-activity rule is published because the current evidence does not verify one.
Fishing
Unknown / not independently verified. Do not claim that a catch disappears, stays in the water or moves to storage.
Mining
Unknown / not independently verified. Ore and drops may need free carry space, but the failure behavior is not established here.
Harvesting
Unknown / not independently verified. This page does not infer that a full bag blocks every harvest.
Hunting
Unknown / not independently verified. Meat, bones and other drops are owned by the Hunting authority; full-bag handling is not verified.
General pickup
Unknown / not independently verified. There is no verified automatic Storage Box transfer or “lost forever” rule.
Until activity-specific testing or save/UI evidence is available, keep free carried slots before long collection runs and use Storage Boxes for materials you do not need to carry.
System boundaries
Bag vs Storage, Shipping and Tools
Similar inventory words describe different systems.
Bag / carried inventory
Items carried with the player while traveling. Large Bag and Very Large Bag are the documented expansion records.
Storage Box
Items left in placed storage. Nearby Workbench access and Storage Box capacity belong to the Storage Boxes Guide, not this page.
Storage Box Linking
A separate Shrine skill for moving or switching contents between boxes. It is not extra carried slots and does not make the bag global storage.
Shipping Box
A home deposit point for sellable items and next-morning settlement. It is not temporary bag storage; see Shipping.
Storage Barn
A building-space record. It is not treated as a general carried-inventory container; use Buildings.
Player tools
Tool tiers, recipes and tool-slot relationships are not converted into bag capacity here. Use Tool Upgrades for tool progression.
Practical advice
When should you buy a bag upgrade?
Use the price and your route frequency, not a universal ranking.
Buy for repeated friction
If fishing, mining or exploration trips repeatedly end because you cannot carry another item type, a bag upgrade is a direct convenience purchase.
Budget the tradeoff
Large Bag is ¥1,000 and Very Large Bag is ¥7,000. Early money may also need seeds, tools, licenses, machines or buildings.
Prepare before a trip
Deposit unneeded materials in Storage Boxes, leave room for unknown activity-specific outcomes and check the General Store listing without assuming its opening hours equal its unlock condition.
For opening priorities, follow the Beginner Guide. For money tradeoffs, use Money Making. This page does not claim that either bag is mandatory or always the best first purchase.
FAQ
Bag upgrade questions
How do you increase inventory space?
Buy the progression-based Large Bag or Very Large Bag from the Sazanka General Store when each listing becomes available. The current source set confirms that these are carry-inventory upgrades, but not their exact slot totals.
Where do you buy the Large Bag?
Buy the 大きなバッグ / Large Bag from the Sazanka General Store. The shared shop record lists it at ¥1,000.
Where do you buy the Very Large Bag?
Buy the とても大きなバッグ / Very Large Bag from the Sazanka General Store. The shared shop record lists it at ¥7,000.
How many inventory slots do you start with?
The starting slot count is not independently verified in the current canonical source set. Do not use a tool row, hotbar, stack limit or screenshot grid as a substitute for a save-data value.
How many slots does each bag add?
The exact total capacity and slots added for the Starting Bag, Large Bag and Very Large Bag remain Unknown. Current evidence supports an expanded carry area/row behavior, not a numeric slot count.
Does the Very Large Bag appear immediately after buying the Large Bag?
Not verified. The repository records later progression stock, but does not isolate a purchase prerequisite, story gate, next-day refresh or fixed calendar date.
What happens when the inventory is full?
Activity-specific full-inventory behavior is not verified. This guide does not claim that drops are auto-sent to storage, blocked, left on the ground or lost.
Do bag upgrades increase Storage Box capacity?
No. Bag upgrades own carried inventory. Storage Boxes own placed storage, and Storage Box Linking is a separate Shrine skill.
